Daily Painter

I am going to try and do a painting a day, ie "Daily Painter". Each painting usually outside/ el fresco is done within an hour so I must train myself to paint with purpose and make every stoke count!

"The Paddler"
Oil Painting
12X16
24th July
Will in the paddling pool. It was very difficult to paint Will as he was playing, so I took a snap shot with the camera and attempted to paint him from the view finder!

"The Hare"
Oil Painting
12X16

23rd July
The Hare. I recently painted this in watercolour and thought I would attempt it in oils too. I feel the water colour version had captured the movement better! https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEges1yu2xxADg8zpmoXKFf9zfLrzbT_RJb4etbJ5RLZPNb_s_NfanLeGqb9yTxG0GAej5s5yWteR8MNUCnVfajGh_O4WHz8ic074AeQ-o-811cgtsZS84rXqfqI4ix0Xhe1HMV8VyKc6w/s1600/hare_by_meeart-d54ta70.jpg

"Farnborough Hall"
Oil Painting
12X16

22nd July
On our way home we decided to stop at Farnborough Hall and enjoy the sunshire. I found the windows were best portrayed with subtle details.

"Stump"
Oil Painting
12X16

21st July
This was painted in Plumpton woods. I do struggle to find a focal point in such dense greenery! I enjoyed painting the textures and thought the face of the stump gave a good contrast.
